Handmade Traditional Korboloi from Natural Mineral Black Onyx Stone Taye

Onyx is formed by bands of chalcedony with alternating colors. It is cryptocrystalline, consisting of fine growths of silicate minerals such as quartz and moganite.

Onyx comes from the ancient Greek ὄνυξ, meaning “nail”.

By Taye we mean the manufacture of facets in precious stones. The word tailoring comes from the French word tallier (tage) which means: to cut precisely. The expression: “stone cutting” is also used. The word faceting is more correct, because it includes, in addition to the cutting done on the stone, the construction of the facets
